Bonfire night
On the 4th November, Derby’s biggest Fireworks Night is back! This event has all of the classic Bonfire Night food, plus, what promises to be the biggest and best display ever, complete with a brand-new laser show! Plus, it’s only an 15 minute drive away from Albany Lodge, Kingsway.
The Derby Christmas light Switch on
Derby is the perfect city to get into the Christmas spirit! Why not ask your friends from your retirement living village to wrap up warm and head to the city centre on the 12th of November. Once there, the festivities begin at 3.30pm you will enjoy a variety of entertainment on the stage leading up to the big switch-on at 6pm to get you in the Festive spirit.

Let’s make Christmas
If you love crafts, Derby Museum, the Art Gallery and the Museum of Making are featuring beautiful handmade gifts from local makers in their shops, including prints, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.
“Let’s make Christmas” is a seasonal celebration of contemporary making. This event is throughout November and will feature handcrafted pieces from over 50 local makers.

Christmas at Chatsworth
