Be one of the first to take to the Cathedral Quarter Ice Rink, with skating available from 11am. There will also be a festive programme of free live entertainment, followed by local Christmas entertainment and community acts, presented by Smooth Radio.
From 4pm, the magical Derby Lantern Parade will commence from St Peter’s Cross, as lantern makers from across the city are joined by more than 350 pupils from local schools, Derby college, and valued members of local community groups – showcasing the colourful array of sustainable lanterns they have created.
